Our location

Our campsite is located in a privileged location, being the closest to the French border -open all year round-, which makes it an ideal spot to receive visitors from all over Europe throughout the year and to explore capitals such as Bilbao, Donostia-San Sebastian, Vitoria-Gasteiz (direct public transport links from Zarautz) and towns like Biarritz, Hendaye,… or the inland area of Gipuzkoa, etc. Furthermore, the Northern Way of Saint James passes by our door, making it perfect for pilgrims. Surf enthusiasts will enjoy the coast that Zarautz offers, while mountain, MTB, and hiking enthusiasts will find impressive routes in the surroundings. Whether it’s adventure or relaxation, we believe our location will be most convenient for you!

Experience the Best of Basque Gastronomy

Although the weather may not be the most favourable in the autumn and winter months, gastronomy has no fixed dates. So, you’ll have the chance to discover and taste the best of Basque gastronomy all year round.

You won’t be able to resist the traditional Basque dishes and pintxos (slice of bread topped with traditional ingredients): marmitako (tuna and potato stew), cod in spicy pil-pil sauce, baby cuttlefish in ink, hake in green sauce, gilda (cocktail stick with an olive, a salted anchovy and Ibarra chilli peppers), traditional elvers…

We have two types of accommodation for you to enjoy your stay in total comfort. On the one hand, we have over 450 pitches available and, on the other hand, we havea Glamping area with cabins that can accommodate 2 to 5 guests. Of course, all of them are equipped with seasonal amenities, including air conditioning and heating.

We have pitches for caravans and motorhomes, cars and motorbikes, as well as group and individual tents. The following items are included in the pitch price: 2 persons + 1 tent and 1 car; or 2 persons + 1 caravana and 1 car; or 2 persons + 1 motorhome/camping-van

PITCH RULES

1. RESERVATIONS:
  • The reservation request can be made directly on our website: www.grancampingzarautz.com
  • A reservation will not be considered confirmed until we send you the confirmation by email.
  • The guest could request changes to their stay (dates or type of accommodation) by written request and it will depend on the availability.
2. OCCUPATION:
  • The maximum occupancy per plot is six people.
  • Groups of more than six people are not allowed, nor even in separate plots.
  • The entry/camping/stay of minors is only allowed if they are accompanied at all times by their parents or legal guardians.
  • The accommodation number is assigned by the Reservations Department according to availability and internal organization.
  • Consequently, it is not possible to reserve an specific pitch number.
  • It is forbidden to change the plot without the corresponding authorization.
3. TIME OF ARRIVAL AND TIME OF DEPARTURE:
  • On the day of your arrival, your pitch will be available from 2:00 p.m.
  • On the day of departure, the pitch must be free before 12 in the morning.
  • You can continue enjoying our facilities and services until 6:00 p.m. maximum, leaving the car in the outdoor parking lot of the campsite.
4. STAY RULES:
  • The client will avoid any kind of noise and annoying voices and will regulate the volume of their sound devices so that they do not disturb their neighbours. From 24:00 hours to 7:00 hours, the silence must be absolute.
  • High volume on televisions and stereos is prohibited.
  • Those who disturb the tranquility of the rest of the campers will be expelled. The police will be called if necessary.
  • It is mandatory to present ID/Passport when formalizing the registration, as well as when required by the campsite staff.
  • It is forbidden to make an open fire inside the campsite. The use of barbecues is allowed.
  • Dogs and other pets must always remain on a leash within the limits of the campsite.
  • Access to the plots will be closed for cars and motorcycles from 00:00 to 07:00. The maximum speed inside the campsite is 10km/hour.
  • Keep your plot and the campsite clean. Use the garbage and recycling collection points.
5. CANCELLATION POLICY:
  • Reservations would be cancelled in the following way:
    • In low and mid-season, 100% of the payment will be returned until two days before arrival-date.
    • In high season, 100% of the payment will be returned until seven days before arrival-date.
    • If the cancellation is not made within the established deadlines, the payment will not be returned.
    • Cancellation must be requested by email.
